Dr. Cohen is caring and compassionate. My previous experience with my former ophthalmologist was rushed, and I did not fully understand my treatment options. Dr. Cohen took the time to explain all of my options, and he initially favored conservative treatment as our first step. Ultimately, I did not respond to medications and I required surgery. Thankfully, the operation was a great success and I am no longer experiencing the pain that I once had. From the moment I first met him, I knew I was working with a surgeon who prioritized my best interests. I would recommend him without hesitation. The office staff is kind and they assisted me throughout the entire process.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cohen for just about a year. I was fortunate to have been referred to him by my Ophthalmologist to treat me for early-onset Glaucoma. I am a 50-year-old man who, unfortunately, has been plagued with several other medical conditions in addition to the Glaucoma. Dr. Cohen tried treating me first with non-surgical methods; however, they were not successful, before, during, and after surgery, Dr. Cohen was amazing. Dr. Cohen is one of the most compassionate and caring doctors you will ever find, and I have seen my fair share of specialists. Dr. Cohen takes his time; you never feel rushed he explains and makes sure you are entirely comfortable with everything that Is happening. My case was severe due to my other conditions, but Dr. Cohen never gave up; Dr. Cohen was always there, educating, and calming me. He saved my sight, and I will always be grateful to him. I could not have found a better Dr., no matter how far I traveled!

Dr. Cohen is the most skilled and proficient eye doctor....he treats his patients with high integrity. He is keen to provide his patients with the best advise based on their condition. After many years of trying to get my glaucoma under control, I was referred to Dr Cohen and I am so very grateful for that recommendation. Dr. Cohen’s skills and knowledge are not what set him apart from some of the other eye specialists I have seen, it is his passion and commitment to helping his patients save their vision. He is honest, caring and you truly feel the partnership with him as you talk through options, goals and next steps. His staff is equally as caring and you never feel like just a number. I want to thank Dr. Amir Cohen for saving my vision - yes I said saving my vision. At a very low point in the health of my eyes a close friend recommended I see Dr. Cohen. Without going into too much detail I want anyone needing a Glaucoma Specialist to know that since being under Dr. Cohen’s care the condition of my eyes health has improved beyond my wildest dream. When I first saw him I had a dried out and shriveled Cornea which was causing severe pain and high eye pressure. Dr. Cohen performed surgery on my left eye which has lowered the pressure substantially and prescribed eye drops for both eyes to normalize the pressure. I now have pressure in both eyes that is exactly where it needs to be to maintain my vision. I can’t thank Dr. Cohen enough and I highly recommend him.

I don’t typically write reviews, but this is one review that is very important to me given the successful and life changing surgery I received from Dr. Cohen. I was diagnosed with glaucoma at 35, I am now 63. I have been seeing the same ophthalmologist all these years but over time the glaucoma drops were not reducing the eye pressure to an acceptable level. I also developed cataracts that needed to be addressed. My ophthalmologist suggested I see Dr. Cohen. From the moment I stepped into Dr. Cohen’s office I felt comfortable with the very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Dr. Cohen explained all the options available and took all the time I needed to answer my many questions. Dr. Cohen advised to due a combined cataract surgery and eye stents surgery to reduce the pressure in both eyes. The result is excellent vision, and lower pressure. No more glasses, or contacts which is life changing for me! I can not say enough how happy I am with the surgery and its results. I would highly recommend Dr. Cohen.
