After many years of trying to get my glaucoma under control, I was referred to Dr Cohen and I am so very grateful for that recommendation. Dr. Cohen’s skills and knowledge are not what set him apart from some of the other eye specialists I have seen, it is his passion and commitment to helping his patients save their vision. He is honest, caring and you truly feel the partnership with him as you talk through options, goals and next steps. His staff is equally as caring and you never feel like just a number. That culture flows down from the doctor who respects his staff and in turn, the patient. I started going to Dr Cohen after my regular eye doctor could no long get my eye pressure under control and was told I might need eye surgery. I went to Dr Cohen with an eye pressure of 32 to 34 that just would not come down with the use of 3 types of eye drops and even after having laser surgery. Dr Cohen took his time and explained about a surgery using something called a xen stent. The procedure was very pain free and no down time and no drops were needed at all in my left eye and I am going on 3 years eye drop free with a pressure of 15 to 17. The right eye was much worse. The xen stent only lasted a yr and then Dr Cohen added some sort of shunt to my right eye. Again no pain or down time. As of today my pressures remain steady about 17. I have to admit a was very afraid but Dr Cohen took the time to explain everything and reassure me it was not a difficult procedure. (He was so right) I have never found a Dr. to be more caring and so good at what at what he does. He saved my eyesight and got the pressure normal. Recently a family member asked me to move to FL with them, my response was I cant leave my Glaucoma doctor. If you do your research and read up on Dr. Cohen you will see the reason he is so dedicated to conquering this awful eye disease, is because his grandma suffered from it and it can be inherited All I can say is he really cares about his patience and getting the pressure down and saving vision. You will never find a Dr. this knowledgeable and who is constantly keeping up with the latest procedures coming out for glaucoma.

Dr. Cohen is caring and compassionate. My previous experience with my former ophthalmologist was rushed, and I did not fully understand my treatment options. Dr. Cohen took the time to explain all of my options, and he initially favored conservative treatment as our first step. Ultimately, I did not respond to medications and I required surgery. Thankfully, the operation was a great success and I am no longer experiencing the pain that I once had. From the moment I first met him, I knew I was working with a surgeon who prioritized my best interests. I would recommend him without hesitation. The office staff is kind and they assisted me throughout the entire process.

El Doctor Cohen ayudo a mi abuelita con el problema de sus ojos. Ella tenia Glucoma. El es un buen doctor. El es un buen cirujano de los ojos. El se precupa mucho de sus pacientes.

Dr Cohen is the best eye doctor in the state of New Jersey! He is an amazing surgeon and a wonderful human being. I had a serious issue with my vision that required cataract and glaucoma surgery. I had a great outcome that was life changing. He gave me several options for treatment. I did not feel rushed when he presented these options. I strongly recommend him!
